Yesterday we heard that we had to make a newpaper. We could also give it a name. We called it: Royal Oldenzaal. Well you might ask why we called it Royal Oldenzaal. We did it because we thougt it would be a chic name. But who are we?
We are seven girls of the school Tcc-deThij. The editorials consists out:

We are working on a newspaper for young people right now. We have three days to finish it and we started yesterday. We've got to tell something about what you can do in Oldenzaal. What is Oldenzaal? Oldenzaal is a very great city in the Netherlands. Four of us live in Oldenzaal, but we all go to school here. What makes Oldenzaal that kind of special? Well, that simple, it's always fun out here. We also got some ritual party's out here, like carinval. But we also got very nice places to hang out. That's where our newspaper is about. We're going to tell something about the places to be in Oldenzaal. Cause it might look as a small city, but you can visit a lot things.

This stone is standing in the middle of the marketplace. It doesn't look special but when there is an activity in Oldenzaal all the children are sitting on it.

This is the church of Oldenzaal. It's a beatiful church and very big. Of course we haver more churches but this one is standing in the middle of the city.
The Paltehuis
The house was Gulia Palthe, she died in 1928. They let the 17th century house with coach house, garden and collection after in Oldenzaal. The chambre had been in 1906. In 1929 the museum opened its doors Palthe-House for the first time. The museum has various furniture, paintings, drawings and clothing plus all the books and manuscripts which were in the house. The museum owns objects of Oldenzaal famous lawyer, politician and historian Jan Willem Racer.The house contains interiors from the 18th century. The dining room is performed in Louis XV1 style, with an expensive dinner on the table of Chinese porcelain. The 'Great Salet' is decorated with objects from the early 18th century. And there is a library of antiquarian books. The kitchen and upstairs room for the maids with bedsteads in the original 18th century style cut.

The Boeskool
The Boeskool is one of the biggest evenementen from oldenzaal. Every year this is celebrated of 11 till 15 agustus. Boeskool gets a lot of visitors from outside. By day there a lot of market booths where children also many stand. In the evening are many known artists from the netherlands it goes on in the late hours.
About Huttenkloas, the criminal of Oldenzaal
Who was Huttenkloas and where did he come from? Huttenkloas or Klaas Annink, was a criminal by Twente. He was the Catholic custom on June 19, 1710 the son of Gertrude and Jannes Annink Sueters baptized in Delden. The wedding book was from Beckum, but books about his life state that he was born Bentelo. He was with his wife and his son Aarne Spanjers Jannes responsible for the robberies and murders in and Bentelo Hengevelde, from which they committed their cabin in Hengevelde.As a stocking merchant from Hanover Goorse the winter market not returned home in 1774, his father went to investigate. He found convincing evidence that the disappearance was responsible by Huttenkloas. Huttenkloas was arrested then and held several months in a specially made chair. In 1775 he was washed out alive, and his wife Aarne was also sentenced to death and then strangled. This is the biggest criminal in the history of the Twente and which therefore Oldenzaal. You can see the chair at the Palthe- house.

They have here women and men clothing sold in brands such as G-star, Silver creek, Dept. and Esprit.The best entertainment opportunities for young people is Markant.
